Product Description - Narcissus (Daffodil) Baby Boomer

Narcissus (Daffodil) Baby Boomer

The Baby Boomer daffodil belongs to the botanical type of early flowering bulbous plants of the Amaryllis family. The plant belongs to the multi-flowered jonquil species and is distinguished by its long flowering. Several golden flowers are formed on the peduncle, the centre is crowned with a bright crown.

Main characteristics of the variety:

  • flowering period - April-May;
  • plant height (cm) - 30;
  • flower diameter (cm) - 2-5;
  • leaf colour - green;
  • flowers - yellow.

Baby Boomer daffodils are perfectly combined in compositions with other spring bulbous and perennial plants in the garden. They also look great on an alpine hill, lush flower borders, rabatki individually and in mini-groups. By planting the bulbs in a container, you can grow a wonderful plant for the women's holiday of spring. The flowers have a pleasant, rich aroma and stand in vases for a long time, retaining their fresh appearance.

How to Plant - Narcissus (Daffodil) Baby Boomer

Narcissus (Daffodil) Baby Boomer

Planting & Care Instructions

Daffodils are hardy spring-flowering bulbs ideal for borders, flower beds, rock gardens, pots and balcony boxes. They are easy to grow and, when planted in suitable conditions, can return and flower for many years.

  • Planting time: Plant the bulbs in autumn, from September to December, before the ground becomes deeply frozen. Daffodils generally flower from April to May, depending on the variety and local climate.
  • Position & soil: Choose a position in full sun or partial shade. Plant in rich, loose and well-drained soil. Avoid areas where water tends to collect.
  • Planting depth & spacing: Place the bulbs with the pointed end facing upwards. For daffodil bulbs, size 12/14 cm, plant approximately 10–15 cm deep and 10–12 cm apart.
  • Watering: Water well after planting to settle the soil. During active growth, keep the soil lightly moist when necessary, but avoid waterlogging.
  • Growing in containers: Use pots or balcony boxes with drainage holes and a well-drained potting mix. Bulbs can be planted slightly closer together than in garden beds.
  • After flowering: Remove faded flowers, but leave the foliage in place until it naturally turns yellow and dies back. This allows the bulb to store energy for the following season.
  • Returning each year: Daffodils are well suited to naturalising and can multiply and return for many years when grown in suitable conditions and left undisturbed.
