Product Description - Narcissus (Daffodil) Bridal Crown
The 'Bridal Crown' Narcissus is a multiple award-winning variety, highly celebrated for its exquisite beauty and sweet fragrance. As part of the Double Narcissus group, this mid-sized daffodil resembles peonies or carnations, featuring packed rows of creamy-white petals interspersed with saffron-yellow cup segments. These flowers cluster at the top of stems, appearing in mid-to-late spring.
Reaching a height of 30–60 cm, 'Bridal Crown' is a versatile addition to beds, borders, and containers, and it can even be forced indoors for winter blooms. It is a recipient of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society and is notably deer and rabbit resistant.

How to Plant - Narcissus (Daffodil) Bridal Crown
Planting & Care Instructions
Daffodils are hardy spring-flowering bulbs ideal for borders, flower beds, rock gardens, pots and balcony boxes. They are easy to grow and, when planted in suitable conditions, can return and flower for many years.
- Planting time: Plant the bulbs in autumn, from September to December, before the ground becomes deeply frozen. Daffodils generally flower from April to May, depending on the variety and local climate.
- Position & soil: Choose a position in full sun or partial shade. Plant in rich, loose and well-drained soil. Avoid areas where water tends to collect.
- Planting depth & spacing: Place the bulbs with the pointed end facing upwards. For daffodil bulbs, size 12/14 cm, plant approximately 10–15 cm deep and 10–12 cm apart.
- Watering: Water well after planting to settle the soil. During active growth, keep the soil lightly moist when necessary, but avoid waterlogging.
- Growing in containers: Use pots or balcony boxes with drainage holes and a well-drained potting mix. Bulbs can be planted slightly closer together than in garden beds.
- After flowering: Remove faded flowers, but leave the foliage in place until it naturally turns yellow and dies back. This allows the bulb to store energy for the following season.
- Returning each year: Daffodils are well suited to naturalising and can multiply and return for many years when grown in suitable conditions and left undisturbed.
