Product Description - Peony Grand Massive
Paeonia 'Grand Massive' is a stunning herbaceous hybrid peony, introduced by Fawkner in Sweden in 2003, renowned for its spectacular cup-shaped, semi-double to full double white flowers with serrated petal edges and a mystical greenish glow over creamy starting petals. The large, fluffy blooms feature yellow filaments, white-yellow carpels, and pink stigmata, creating a unique and elegant appearance that makes it ideal for cut flowers, borders, or specimen plantings. The fragrant flowers are set against large, veined, light green foliage, adding to its floriferous and vigorous growth.
This tallish variety grows to a height of 80–90 cm (32–36 inches) with a spread of 60–80 cm (24–32 inches) and blooms very early in the season (late May–early June), offering a vivid display for 2–3 weeks. 'Grand Massive' thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers fertile, well-drained soil with a pH of 6.5–7.5. Seed-fertile and hardy in USDA Zones 3–8, it's low-maintenance once established, with excellent potential for garden and commercial use.
