Product Description - Planting Onions Senshyu Yellow
Senshuy onion, Senshuy onion (Allium cepa L. Senshuy). Winter onion is a seedling. This is a high quality Japanese onion variety. Extremely popular and reliable. It is medium late. Like most onions, it belongs to the Onion family. Very common in Ukraine.
Appearance.
This variety has a high yield of early harvest. Under favourable conditions and proper care, the onion yield is about 400 kg per hundred square metres. It is suitable for short-term storage. The plant is 40-50 cm tall and 1-10 cm wide.
The bulbs are large, straw-golden in colour, round-flat or elongated. The bulb is elongated. The beautiful golden colour scheme of the scales, a thin "neck" with constantly dried husks makes this variety indispensable on the site. The pulp is white with an excellent aroma. The leaves are wide, dark green in colour. This variety is suitable for the fresh market and processing. It is ideal for pickling and cooking.
Senshuy onions are easy to grow. It is an unpretentious crop. The variety is intended for planting from mid-August to September, and harvesting from May to July. Planting density is 4-5 kg/ha. It grows in full sun. Average frost resistance: can withstand temperatures down to -15 degrees.
