Belongs to the family Amaryllis, genus Hippeastrum, group - Large-flowered Hippeastrums (Galaxy Group). Of hybrid origin! This is a flower of royalty indeed! It will surprise you with its blossoms and will put you in a good mood. The name translates to "Spartacus".
A bulbous perennial with spectacular star-like flowers. If you are looking for something special, check out this variety. Its large flowers on strong stems with their unusual colouring are just what you need! Its flowers are in three colours: white, bright red (petals) and yellow-green in the middle. The throat of the flower is green. The petals are broad, oblong-oval with rounded ends. They are gathered in inflorescences, usually 3-4 flowers each. The flowers are slightly scented. The stamens are white and arranged horizontally. The size of the flower is astonishing, about 22 cm in diameter! The flower stalk is long, tubular. The leaves are glossy, strap-shaped, dark green. The bulb is fleshy, rounded and slightly elongated. It measures up to 10 cm in diameter. It produces several flower stalks. The plant is about 50 cm tall. The flowering period is usually January-February (6-8 weeks after planting).

How to Plant - Amaryllis (Hippeastrum) Spartacus
Guide and tips for planting amaryllis(hippeastrum) bulbs

Choose a pot that is at least 4 cm wider than the bulb and has drainage holes in the bottom.

Fill the pot with well-draining soil, leaving about 2 cm of space at the top.

Place the bulb in the center of the pot, with the pointed end facing up.

Cover the bulb with soil, leaving the top one-third of the bulb exposed.

Water the soil until it is evenly moist, but not waterlogged.

Place the pot in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight.

Water the plant only when the top inch of soil is dry to the touch.

As the plant grows, support the stalk with a stake to prevent it from bending or breaking.

After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and continue to care for the plant by watering it regularly and providing it with bright, indirect sunlight.
