Product Description - Peony Gardenia (Herbaceous)
Peony is a symbol of luxury, romance and sophistication that adorns gardens around the world. Due to the richness of colors, shapes and pleasant aroma, they occupy an honorable place among perennials. The Gardenia peony is an extremely elegant variety that enchants with its delicate color, densely double flowers and exquisite aroma, which is compared to the scent of a real gardenia.
Gardenia is a classic herbaceous peony with large, densely filled flowers up to 18 cm in diameter that open in the shape of a rose or gardenia. Its petals are creamy white with a possible delicate pink tint in the center, which appears depending on the temperature and light. A special decoration of the flower is its wavy petals with a light texture that creates the effect of elegant lace.
Gardenia has a mild sweet scent that fills the air around it, making it an ideal choice not only for the garden but also for fragrant bouquets. Strong, erect stems support the weight of large flowers well, without the need for additional support. This makes the variety practical to care for and decorative throughout the season.
This variety is perfect for growing in mixed flower beds, mixborders, flower beds, as well as in cut compositions. The dark green, glossy foliage creates the perfect backdrop for light flowers and remains decorative even after flowering. Gardenia is a sophistication that will decorate any garden with classic charm.

How to Plant - Peony Gardenia (Herbaceous)
Guide and tips for planting peony plants and bulbs
-
Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-draining soil.
-
Dig a hole that is 2-3 times wider than the diameter of the peony bulb or root and deep enough to accommodate it comfortably.
-
Mix some compost or other organic matter into the soil at the bottom of the hole.
-
Place the peony bulb or root in the hole with the "eyes" (small buds) facing up and the crown (thickened stem base) no more than 1-2 inches below the soil surface.
-
Fill the hole with soil and gently firm the soil around the bulb or root.
-
Water the soil until it is evenly moist.
-
Cover the area with a layer of mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
-
Water the plant regularly, making sure not to let the soil dry out completely.
-
As the plant grows, provide support to the stem to prevent it from bending or breaking.
-
After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and continue to care for the plant by watering it regularly and providing it with full sun or partial shade.
