Peony Old Rose Dandy is one of the most spectacular varieties of the ITO peony series, captivating with its unusual color and exotic charm. Its large flowers have a deep pink-brown hue with bronze, burgundy, and sometimes even copper highlights, giving the variety an antique, noble appearance — hence the name Old Rose Dandy.
This variety is a true work of art. Its petals are loosely arranged with a slight asymmetry, creating a dynamic shape. Golden stamens are visible in the center of the flower, creating a striking contrast that adds energy and sophistication to the image.

How to Plant - Peony Old Rose Dandy (ITOH )
Guide and tips for planting peony plants and bulbs

Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-draining soil.

Dig a hole that is 2-3 times wider than the diameter of the peony bulb or root and deep enough to accommodate it comfortably.

Mix some compost or other organic matter into the soil at the bottom of the hole.

Place the peony bulb or root in the hole with the "eyes" (small buds) facing up and the crown (thickened stem base) no more than 1-2 inches below the soil surface.

Fill the hole with soil and gently firm the soil around the bulb or root.

Water the soil until it is evenly moist.

Cover the area with a layer of mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Water the plant regularly, making sure not to let the soil dry out completely.

As the plant grows, provide support to the stem to prevent it from bending or breaking.

After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and continue to care for the plant by watering it regularly and providing it with full sun or partial shade.
