Peony Viking Valor is a powerful variety of herbaceous peony that combines grandeur, dynamic color, and resistance to weather challenges. Its giant double flowers, rich red, almost ruby in color, are striking at first glance. The dense petals form a voluminous cup that holds its shape well even in unfavorable weather. Golden stamens are sometimes visible in the center of the flower, adding a lively sparkle to the composition.

How to Plant - Peony Viking Valor (Herbaceous)
Guide and tips for planting peony plants and bulbs

Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-draining soil.

Dig a hole that is 2-3 times wider than the diameter of the peony bulb or root and deep enough to accommodate it comfortably.

Mix some compost or other organic matter into the soil at the bottom of the hole.

Place the peony bulb or root in the hole with the "eyes" (small buds) facing up and the crown (thickened stem base) no more than 1-2 inches below the soil surface.

Fill the hole with soil and gently firm the soil around the bulb or root.

Water the soil until it is evenly moist.

Cover the area with a layer of mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Water the plant regularly, making sure not to let the soil dry out completely.

As the plant grows, provide support to the stem to prevent it from bending or breaking.

After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and continue to care for the plant by watering it regularly and providing it with full sun or partial shade.
