Peony White Wings (Herbaceous)
Product Description - Peony White Wings (Herbaceous)
Peony White Wings (herbaceous) is a model of restrained elegance and lightness, associated with the white wings of a bird. Bred in 1947 by American breeder Sanders, this variety has become a true classic among simple white peonies. Its flowers are wide, open, with pure white petals that frame a golden center with bright stamens. This contrasting yet harmonious palette makes the flower an exquisite accent in any garden corner.
White Wings is an early variety, blooming one of the first, bringing a fresh, uplifting tone to the garden. The bush is compact, with thin but strong stems that hold the flowers well. The leaves are dark green, dense, fill the space well, and remain decorative even after flowering.
This variety is ideal for inspired, natural compositions and looks great in combination with pastel or contrasting peonies. Its light, delicate fragrance adds completeness to the visual image.

How to Plant - Peony White Wings (Herbaceous)
Guide and tips for planting peony plants and bulbs
-
Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-draining soil.
-
Dig a hole that is 2-3 times wider than the diameter of the peony bulb or root and deep enough to accommodate it comfortably.
-
Mix some compost or other organic matter into the soil at the bottom of the hole.
-
Place the peony bulb or root in the hole with the "eyes" (small buds) facing up and the crown (thickened stem base) no more than 1-2 inches below the soil surface.
-
Fill the hole with soil and gently firm the soil around the bulb or root.
-
Water the soil until it is evenly moist.
-
Cover the area with a layer of mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
-
Water the plant regularly, making sure not to let the soil dry out completely.
-
As the plant grows, provide support to the stem to prevent it from bending or breaking.
-
After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and continue to care for the plant by watering it regularly and providing it with full sun or partial shade.
