Product Description - Ranunculus Aviv Roze
The low variety of Asian buttercup is appreciated by flower growers for its attractive pink flower caps, vaguely reminiscent of a rose or a slightly blooming peony. The plant can be grown as an indoor or garden plant.
Appearance

Its rhizome bulbs cannot withstand frosts below -7 degrees Celsius, so in our climate zone they are dug out of the soil after the stem has completely yellowed and dried. The rhizome is planted in the open ground after the onset of stable heat. In indoor pots - in early spring: March-April. The planting depth in the open ground is 10 cm; in a pot, the soil is covered with tubers only 3-5 cm. The plant does not tolerate heavy loams from stagnant water, so for its good development, you should take care of a light soil mixture and drainage.
In a flower bed, Asian buttercup prefers partial shade: this way its chic rose caps bloom longer without burning out, retaining their rich colour. But in a city apartment, it is better to put the pot in the sunniest place, providing the plant with timely watering and infrequent potash fertilisation. During the dormant period, the tuber is dug up, kept at positive temperatures in a dry state. Before planting, it is soaked for several hours in water.

How to Plant - Ranunculus Aviv Roze
Planting & Care Instructions
Ranunculus (Persian buttercups) produce unique ruffled blooms ideal for garden borders, pots and cut flower arrangements. Easy to grow, these tubers deliver stunning, layered flowers when provided with the right location and planting depth.
- Planting time: Plant the tubers in spring, from March to May (after frosts have passed). Flowering time generally occurs from May to July.
- Position & soil: Choose a full sun position or light partial shade. Plant in loose, rich and well-drained soil. Avoid areas where water tends to collect.
- Planting depth & spacing: Soak tubers in tepid water for a few hours before planting, then place them with the "claws" facing downwards. For standard ranunculus tubers, size 5/6 cm, plant approximately 5–8 cm deep and 10–15 cm apart.
- Watering: Water well after planting and keep the soil slightly moist during growth. Avoid waterlogged soil to protect the tubers.
- Growing in containers: Use pots or balcony boxes with drainage holes and a rich, well-drained potting mix.
- After flowering: Remove faded flowers, but allow the foliage to remain until it naturally turns yellow and dies back so the tuber can store energy for the next season.
- Winter care: In regions with severe winters, lift tubers before heavy frost and store them in a cool, dry place for the next season.
