Product Description - Raspberry Golden Queen
Raspberry 'Golden Queen' (Rubus idaeus) is a delightful everbearing raspberry cultivar prized for its large, firm, golden-yellow berries that offer a sweet, mildly tangy flavor with a juicy texture. Perfect for fresh eating, jams, desserts, or preserves, these berries are rich in vitamins and antioxidants. The upright, thornless canes are adorned with lush green foliage, adding ornamental charm to gardens, and its yellow fruit stands out beautifully against the leaves.
This variety grows to a height of 120–150 cm (4–5 feet) with a spread of 60–90 cm (2–3 feet) and produces fruit in two main crops: early summer (June–July) and again in late summer to fall (August–October). Ideal for edible gardens, containers, or trellised rows, 'Golden Queen' thrives in full sun and well-drained, fertile soil with a pH of 5.5–6.5. Self-fertile and moderately resistant to diseases, it’s hardy in USDA Zones 4–8. Regular pruning of old canes and netting to protect berries from birds are recommended.
