Product Description - Scilla Peruviana
The Scilla peruviana, the Peruvian Scilla, is a true exotic queen among spring-flowering bulbs. It is celebrated for its monumental, show-stopping appearance, characterized by massive, dome-shaped clusters (up to 15 cm in diameter) consisting of 50 to 100 brilliant, ultramarine-blue star-shaped flowers.
Growing to a height of 25–35 cm, this variety features broad, vibrant green, strap-like foliage that creates a lush base for its spectacular blue ""crowns."" As a Mediterranean native, it thrives in warm, sunny, and well-protected garden spots. Scilla peruviana is a perfect focal point for front-border displays, rock gardens, and elegant container arrangements on patios or terraces.

How to Plant - Scilla Peruviana
Planting and care instructions
For best results, plant this category at the recommended depth and grow it in a suitable location.
- Planting: Plant in autumn in loose, well-drained soil. Place them 8 cm deep and 5–8 cm apart, with the pointed side up.
- Light & location: Grow in sun or partial shade.
- Watering: Water after planting and keep the soil lightly moist, but avoid waterlogging.
- After flowering: Let the foliage die back naturally after flowering so the plant can store energy for the next season.
- Feeding & care: When shoots appear, apply a bulb fertilizer or a balanced low-nitrogen feed; avoid excessive nitrogen.
- Useful tip: Leave plants undisturbed to naturalise; divide overcrowded clumps after the foliage has died back.
