Product Description - Summer Flower Bulbs Purple Garden Collection (25 bulbs)
Summer Flower Bulbs Purple Garden Collection is a curated mix of summer-flowering bulbs selected to create a rich, purple-themed display in beds and borders. The coordinated palette brings a bold, contemporary feel and pairs beautifully with silvery foliage, whites, and soft pinks for contrast. Planted in groups, the mix gives planting schemes a fuller, more intentional look, while the layered purple tones add depth and help the border feel cohesive through the main season.
The plant grows to a height of 25–100 cm (10–39 inches) and produces a succession of blooms with a diameter of about 3–20 cm in mixed purple shades, depending on the varieties included. Varied flower forms and heights create a naturally layered effect in the border, with lower blooms filling gaps and taller stems adding structure and movement. Flowering is mainly in summer and often continues into early autumn, extending colour into the late season. This collection performs best in full sun to light partial shade in fertile, well-drained soil kept evenly moist during active growth, with spent flowers removed where possible and foliage left to die back naturally.

How to Plant - Summer Flower Bulbs Purple Garden Collection (25 bulbs)
Planting & Care Instructions
Dutch Irises are elegant, graceful spring-to-early-summer flowering bulbs ideal for borders, pots and excellent as cut flowers. Winter-hardy and low-maintenance, they produce sophisticated blooms and return reliably year after year.
- Planting time: Plant the bulbs in autumn, from September to December, before the ground freezes. Flowering time generally occurs from May to June.
- Preparation: No special pre-soaking required. Ensure bulbs are firm and healthy before planting.
- Position & soil: Choose a position in full sun. Plant in loose, well-drained soil. Avoid areas where water tends to collect.
- Planting depth & spacing: For Dutch iris bulbs, size 8+ cm, plant approximately 8–10 cm deep and 8–10 cm apart.
- Watering: Water once after planting to settle the soil. Additional watering during autumn and winter is usually unnecessary. Avoid waterlogged soil.
- Growing in containers: Use pots or containers with drainage holes and a well-drained potting mix. Bulbs can be planted slightly closer together than in garden beds.
- After flowering: Allow the foliage to remain until it naturally turns yellow and dies back. This allows the bulb to store energy for the following season.
- Returning each year: Dutch irises are winter-hardy perennials that return to bloom for many years when conditions are suitable.
