Product Description - Tulip Blue Heaven
Tulip Blue Heaven is a true gem among spring flowers, captivating with its depth of color and refined shape. Despite its name, ""blue heaven,"" this variety features a multi-layered purple-blue hue that can appear lilac or purple depending on the lighting. The glossy petals add to the flower's dramatic and mysterious look.
The buds are elongated and cup-shaped, perfectly symmetrical. The sturdy flower stems hold the blooms securely, making Blue Heaven an excellent choice for cutting — it maintains its freshness and beauty for a long time in a vase. This variety looks stunning in mono plantings, creating elegant, rich color spots, and also pairs beautifully with white, pink, or cream tulips for contrast.
Blue Heaven is undemanding, frost-resistant, and thrives in sunny spots with light, well-drained soil. The blooms are abundant and last for up to 10 days under favorable conditions.

How to Plant - Tulip Blue Heaven
Planting & Care Instructions
Tulips are hardy spring-flowering bulbs ideal for garden beds, borders, pots and balcony boxes. For the best flowering results, choose a suitable location and follow the recommended planting depth for each tulip type.
- Planting time: Plant the bulbs in autumn, from September to December, before the ground becomes deeply frozen. Flowering time varies by type and variety, generally from March to May.
- Position & soil: Choose a sunny position or partial shade. Plant in loose, fertile and well-drained soil. Avoid areas where water tends to collect.
- Planting depth & spacing: Place the bulbs with the pointed end facing upwards. For standard garden tulips, size 11/12 cm, plant approximately 10–15 cm deep and 10–12 cm apart. For botanical tulips, size 6/8 cm, plant approximately 8–10 cm deep and 8–10 cm apart.
- Watering: Water moderately after planting, especially when the soil is dry. Additional watering during autumn is usually unnecessary. Avoid waterlogged soil.
- Growing in containers: Use pots or balcony boxes with drainage holes and a well-drained potting mix. Bulbs can be planted slightly closer together than in garden beds.
- After flowering: Remove faded flowers, but allow the foliage to remain until it naturally turns yellow and dies back. This allows the bulb to store energy for the following season.
- Returning each year: Botanical tulips are particularly suitable for naturalising and can multiply and flower for many years when conditions are suitable. Garden tulips may also return in following seasons, although flowering performance depends on the variety and growing conditions.
