Product Description - Tulip Ice Cream Cranberry
Tulip Ice Cream Cranberry is an exclusive tulip variety that truly resembles an exquisite dessert. Its bud consists of luxurious crimson petals that imitate melting ice cream balls wrapped in swirls of delicate pink and greenish outer petals. This contrast creates the impression of a multi-layered floral composition that looks so appetizing that you want to taste it.
This tulip blooms in late spring, when most traditional varieties have already faded. It reaches a height of 30–40 cm, making it ideal for growing in pots, containers, or in the foreground of flower beds.
The compact shape and dense structure of the flower ensure good resistance to wind and rain.
Tulip Ice Cream Cranberry will be the center of attention in any flower garden. Its striking appearance and bright blooms are ideal for festive arrangements, themed flower beds, gift bouquets, and collections of rare varieties.

How to Plant - Tulip Ice Cream Cranberry
Planting & Care Instructions
Tulips are hardy spring-flowering bulbs ideal for garden beds, borders, pots and balcony boxes. For the best flowering results, choose a suitable location and follow the recommended planting depth for each tulip type.
- Planting time: Plant the bulbs in autumn, from September to December, before the ground becomes deeply frozen. Flowering time varies by type and variety, generally from March to May.
- Position & soil: Choose a sunny position or partial shade. Plant in loose, fertile and well-drained soil. Avoid areas where water tends to collect.
- Planting depth & spacing: Place the bulbs with the pointed end facing upwards. For standard garden tulips, size 11/12 cm, plant approximately 10–15 cm deep and 10–12 cm apart. For botanical tulips, size 6/8 cm, plant approximately 8–10 cm deep and 8–10 cm apart.
- Watering: Water moderately after planting, especially when the soil is dry. Additional watering during autumn is usually unnecessary. Avoid waterlogged soil.
- Growing in containers: Use pots or balcony boxes with drainage holes and a well-drained potting mix. Bulbs can be planted slightly closer together than in garden beds.
- After flowering: Remove faded flowers, but allow the foliage to remain until it naturally turns yellow and dies back. This allows the bulb to store energy for the following season.
- Returning each year: Botanical tulips are particularly suitable for naturalising and can multiply and flower for many years when conditions are suitable. Garden tulips may also return in following seasons, although flowering performance depends on the variety and growing conditions.
