Product Description - Tulip Clusiana Var. Stellata
Among the many varieties of tulips, the short and pretty Clusius tulips are notable. They belong to the lily family and originally grew in mountainous areas and by the sea. This group is distinguished from other low-growing tulips by an interesting two-tone shade of buds. Once opened, the flowers appear striped. Clusius tulips quickly spread over the entire area of the flower bed, are good in accent plantings and in combination with tall early flowering crops. Decorate your backyard with the fashionable Stellata hybrid and get an amazingly beautiful lawn full of red and white tulips.
Appearance and aroma
The variety is short, the maximum height of individual plants reaches 40 cm, most specimens are shorter. The decoration of the tulip is a medium-sized bud on a strong pedicel. When closed, it is red, and when it blooms, it reveals snow-white areas of petals. The buds resemble bright stars. They have a weak, sweetish aroma. Please note that all parts of the plant are poisonous to animals.
