Product Description - Brassia (Orchid) Anita

Brassia (Orchid) Anita
  • Plant height: 50-65 cm
  • Flower diameter: 7-8 cm
  • Duration of flowering: 4-5 weeks
  • Color of flowers: yellow, brown dots

The original Anita spider brassica has a yellow color, which is quite rare for orchids. Its long and narrow petals vaguely resemble an insect, which looks unusual and fascinating. Florists are waiting with trepidation for the prosperity of the first bud. Such a miracle often happens in winter, although it is possible to get a second, later wave of flowering by the end of spring. To care for brassica, it needs to provide a temperature difference of up to 6 degrees at night and daytime, which guarantees the laying of the most significant number of flowering buds during the flowering phase.

Planting of the variety is carried out in a wide transparent pot with a diameter of 12 cm, filling it with a loose substrate selected for orchid crops, half the volume. Throughout the growing season, humidity is controlled, and it is possible to take the pot outdoors in the summer, providing regular watering in the heat.

How to Plant - Brassia (Orchid) Anita

Guide and tips for orchids

  • Choose the right pot: Orchids prefer to grow in pots that are just slightly larger than their root system. Choose a pot with good drainage holes that is made of a material that allows air to circulate around the roots, such as terracotta or clay.

  • Choose the right potting mix: Orchids require a well-draining potting mix that is specifically designed for them. The mix should contain a blend of materials such as bark, sphagnum moss, and perlite.

  • Prepare the potting mix: Soak the potting mix in water for at least an hour to ensure it is evenly moist. Allow it to drain before planting the orchid.

  • Plant the orchid: Carefully remove the orchid from its existing pot and gently loosen any compacted roots. Place the orchid in the new pot and add the potting mix around it, making sure that the roots are evenly covered.

  • Water the orchid: Water the orchid thoroughly until the water drains from the bottom of the pot. Orchids prefer to dry out slightly between waterings, so allow the potting mix to become dry to the touch before watering again.

  • Provide proper care: Orchids require a humid environment and moderate light to grow well. Place the orchid in a location with indirect sunlight and provide a humidifier or pebble tray to increase humidity. Fertilize the orchid every few weeks with a specially formulated orchid fertilizer.
