Product Description - Calla Lily (Zantedeschia) Alma
Calla Lily (Zantedeschia) ‘Alma’ is a delicate, romantic calla lily prized for its soft light-pink, pearly tones. It looks especially elegant in refined patio pots and pastel garden schemes, where the blooms read as airy and sophisticated rather than loud. With its gentle colouring, it’s a natural match for white and blush companion plants in calm, tonal compositions. This variety is also ideal for bouquets, as the half-open buds are commonly used in formal arrangements such as wedding flowers.
The plant grows to a height of 55 cm (22 inches) and produces elegant light-pink calla blooms with a flower diameter of 7–8 cm and a flower height of 7–9 cm. Its graceful, trumpet-shaped flowers rise above fresh green foliage, making it perfect for pots and tubs, sunny patio displays, and neat border planting in a warm, sheltered spot. Flowering typically runs from July to August, and ‘Alma’ performs best in a sunny site with light midday shade in fertile, well-drained soil kept evenly moist (it dislikes even slight waterlogging).
