Product Description - Canna Empire
Canna ‘Empire’ is a striking, tropical-style garden canna that brings a rich pink accent to summer borders and large patio containers. Its strong, upright habit and broad ornamental leaves add structure and an exotic, lush look from early growth through peak flowering. The bright colour makes it a great focal plant in sunny beds and works especially well in hot-colour schemes or alongside dark foliage for contrast. This variety is ideal when you want a bold statement canna with reliable summer performance.
The plant grows to a height of 90–100 cm (35–39 inches) and produces large flowers with a diameter of 10–15 cm. The showy pink blooms are held on sturdy stems above broad decorative foliage, making it well suited for sunny borders and statement containers where a medium-tall tropical silhouette is needed. ‘Empire’ flowers from July to October and performs best in full sun in fertile, evenly moist but well-drained soil with regular watering and feeding.

To guarantee the best result and quality of our plants and bulbs, we dispatch all our orders at the right planting period. We monitor harvests in The Netherlands and weather conditions across Europe and start shipping our orders according to the following schedule:
- Summer Flowering Bulbs (dahlias, gladioli, begonias, etc.) - from 23 March until 1 July.
- Spring Flowering Bulbs (tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, etc.) - from 20 September until 1 December.
- Seeds and Garden Tools – all year round
- Roses, Perennials (except peonies), Bushes and other plants in pots - from 1 March until 1 June.
