Product Description - Canna Panache Black
Canna ‘Panache Black’ is a spectacular garden canna grown for its dramatic contrast of fiery orange flowers against deep, almost black foliage. The broad, dark leaves give the plant a bold, architectural look even before it blooms, while the warm flower colour adds a vivid tropical accent through the season. This variety is ideal for creating strong colour contrast in borders and for growing in large containers as a statement plant. It pairs especially well with bright dahlias and other dark-leaved plants for a rich, exotic display.
The plant grows to a height of 70–100 cm (28–39 inches) and produces bright orange flowers with a diameter of 5–10 cm from July to October. Its glowing blooms, set above massive dark foliage on sturdy upright stems, are ideal for sunny, wind-sheltered borders and statement patio pots where the colour contrast can be appreciated from a distance. ‘Panache Black’ thrives in full sun in very fertile, evenly moist but well-drained soil and rewards regular watering and feeding with continuous flowering; in colder regions, the rhizomes should be lifted and stored frost-free for winter.
