Product Description - Rose Climbing Blue Moon
Rose 'Climbing Blue Moon' (Rosa hybrid tea, climbing) is a captivating, compact climbing rose, a sport of the classic 'Blue Moon' hybrid tea, renowned for its large, fully double, lilac-blue flowers with a strong, sweet fragrance. The high-centered blooms, approximately 8–10 cm (3–4 inches) wide with 26–40 petals, open into elegant rosettes, creating a stunning display against glossy, dark green foliage that emerges with reddish young shoots. This repeat-flowering rose is perfect for small trellises, fences, or containers, adding charm to patios or small gardens.
Growing to a height of 70–100 cm (28–39 inches) with a spread of 50–70 cm (20–28 inches), 'Climbing Blue Moon' blooms in flushes from July to August, offering a vibrant display for 4–6 weeks. It thrives in full sun and prefers rich, well-drained soil with a pH of 5.5–7.0. Nearly thornless and moderately resistant to black spot and mildew, it’s hardy in USDA Zones 6–9. Regular deadheading and light pruning in late winter encourage continuous blooming and maintain its tidy form.
