About Rose ‘Flower Carpet Alcantara’ – Velvety Crimson Ground Cover Rose
Rose ‘Flower Carpet Alcantara’ is a striking landscape rose admired for its velvety crimson-red flowers and outstanding repeat flowering. The blooms appear in abundance throughout the growing season and create a rich, luxurious display against the glossy green foliage. Their deep colour remains intense even during warm summer weather, ensuring a consistent visual impact. Like other members of the Flower Carpet series, this variety offers exceptional disease resistance and requires very little maintenance. Its spreading growth habit makes it ideal for large-scale plantings, borders, and decorative ground cover.
How to Plant Rose ‘Flower Carpet Alcantara’?
Choose a sunny position with well-drained soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Allow spacing of 80–120 cm between plants to achieve full coverage and healthy airflow. Water thoroughly after planting and maintain moderate moisture during establishment. Apply mulch annually to improve soil quality and conserve moisture. Light pruning in spring helps maintain vigour and encourages continuous flowering.
