About Rose ‘Flower Carpet Sorrento’ – Vibrant Red Ground Cover Rose
Rose ‘Flower Carpet Sorrento’ is a vigorous ground cover rose celebrated for its masses of bright red blooms and exceptional garden performance. The flowers are produced continuously in large clusters, creating a dense carpet of colour from late spring until the first frosts. Their vivid red tones remain striking throughout the season and contrast beautifully with the glossy dark green foliage. This variety is highly resistant to common rose diseases and requires very little maintenance, making it ideal for both experienced and beginner gardeners. Its spreading growth habit allows it to quickly cover large areas, slopes, and borders with long-lasting colour.
How to Plant Rose ‘Flower Carpet Sorrento’?
Choose a sunny location with well-drained soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Allow spacing of 80–120 cm between plants to encourage full ground coverage. Water thoroughly after planting and maintain moderate moisture during establishment. Apply mulch annually to retain soil moisture and suppress weeds. Light pruning in early spring is usually sufficient to maintain shape and encourage fresh growth.
