About Rose ‘Gärtnerfreude’ – Reliable Pink Groundcover Rose
Rose ‘Gärtnerfreude’ is a dependable groundcover rose admired for its profusion of bright pink flowers and exceptional disease resistance. The blooms are small, simple, and produced in continuous waves from late spring until frost. This variety forms a dense carpet of colour that works beautifully in large-scale plantings and low-maintenance gardens. Its glossy foliage remains healthy throughout the season, reducing the need for chemical treatments. The plant spreads well and provides excellent coverage on slopes and borders.
How to Plant Rose ‘Gärtnerfreude’?
Plant in a sunny position with fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Allow spacing of 60–80 cm for spreading growth. Water thoroughly after planting and maintain moderate moisture during establishment. Apply mulch annually to improve soil conditions and suppress weeds. Minimal pruning is required beyond light shaping and removing old stems.
