Product Description - Rose Grande Amore
The Rose 'Grande Amore' (Rosa 'Grande Amore', also known as Rosa 'KORcoluma') is a breathtaking hybrid tea rose bred by Tim Hermann Kordes for Kordes Roses in 2004, renowned for its large, high-centered blooms in a rich, velvety red hue that exudes romance and intensity. The classically shaped flowers, with 25–35 glossy petals and a moderate, classic rose fragrance with subtle fruity notes, open slowly in flushes from early summer through fall, creating an elegant focal point. This award-winning variety is ideal for formal gardens, rose beds, or as luxurious long-lasting cut flowers, filling spaces with timeless beauty and scent.
The plant grows to a height of 100–140 cm (39–55 inches) with an upright, vigorous habit and a spread of 60–80 cm. Its glossy, dark green foliage offers excellent disease resistance, particularly against black spot and powdery mildew, complementing the radiant flowers, which measure 10–12 cm in diameter. 'Grande Amore' thrives in full sun and well-drained, fertile soil, benefiting from regular pruning and feeding for continuous blooming. Hardy in USDA zones 5–9, it is perfect for temperate gardens, attracting pollinators and delivering repeated waves of passionate, fragrant elegance.
