About Rose ‘H.C. Andersen’ – Classic Red Hybrid Tea Rose
Rose ‘H.C. Andersen’ is a distinguished hybrid tea rose admired for its large, velvety red blooms and timeless elegance. The flowers are perfectly formed with high-centered petals that open slowly, creating a refined and luxurious appearance. Blooming repeatedly throughout the growing season, this variety provides continuous beauty in formal rose gardens and borders. A light to moderate fragrance enhances its charm and makes it suitable for cutting. The plant grows upright with healthy dark green foliage that contrasts beautifully with the deep red flowers.
How to Plant Rose ‘H.C. Andersen’?
Choose a sunny, sheltered position with fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Plant with the graft union just below soil level and allow spacing of 80–120 cm between plants. Water thoroughly after planting and maintain regular watering during dry periods. Apply mulch annually to retain soil moisture and improve soil structure. Feed during the growing season to encourage vigorous growth and repeat flowering.
