About Rose ‘Honorine de Brabant’ – Historic Striped Bourbon Rose
Rose ‘Honorine de Brabant’ is a beautiful old Bourbon rose known for its striking striped blooms in shades of pink, red, and white. The large, fully double flowers have a classic, old-fashioned form and release a strong, sweet fragrance. This once-flowering variety produces a spectacular display in early summer, creating a romantic and nostalgic atmosphere. The plant develops into a tall, bushy shrub with arching branches and attractive foliage. Its historic charm makes it a favorite for cottage gardens and heritage plantings.
How to Plant Rose ‘Honorine de Brabant’?
Plant in a sunny or lightly shaded location with fertile, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Allow generous spacing of 120–180 cm to accommodate its vigorous growth. Water thoroughly after planting and maintain moderate moisture during establishment. Apply mulch annually to retain soil moisture and improve soil structure. Prune lightly after flowering, as this variety blooms on older wood.
