Product Description - Rose Knirps
The Rose 'Knirps' (Rosa 'Knirps', also known as Rosa 'KORpinu') is an adorable miniature ground-cover rose bred by Reimer Kordes for Kordes Roses in 1996, celebrated for its abundant clusters of small, fully double blooms in a vivid, cheerful hot pink that brightens even the smallest spaces. The dainty, rosette-shaped flowers, with 30–40 petals and almost no fragrance, open continuously from early summer until the first frost, creating a dense carpet of color. This ultra-compact variety is perfect for rock gardens, edging paths, containers, hanging baskets, or as a colorful ground cover in small gardens and balconies.
The plant grows to a height of only 20–40 cm (8–16 inches) with a spreading habit and a width of 60–100 cm. Its glossy, dark green foliage is extremely disease-resistant, especially against black spot and mildew, complementing the vibrant flowers, which measure 3–4 cm in diameter. 'Knirps' thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, requiring virtually no pruning and minimal care. Hardy in USDA zones 5–9, it is ideal for city gardens, attracting pollinators and delivering non-stop waves of playful pink beauty.
