About Rose ‘Leda’ – Historic Beauty
Rose ‘Leda’ is an old garden rose admired for its distinctive white blooms edged with crimson. The semi-double flowers open to reveal golden stamens at the center, creating a charming contrast between light petals and rich pink margins. Blooming abundantly in early summer, it delivers a striking yet delicate display reminiscent of historic rose gardens. The shrub grows vigorously with arching stems and grey-green foliage, giving it a natural, romantic character. Its heritage appearance makes it a treasured choice for cottage gardens and period landscapes.
How to Plant Rose ‘Leda’?
Plant in a sunny or lightly shaded position with well-drained soil enriched with organic material. Provide enough space—around 100 cm—for its arching growth habit. Position the graft union slightly below soil level and water thoroughly after planting. Mulch annually and prune lightly after flowering to maintain structure and encourage healthy new growth.
