About Rose ‘Leontine Gervais’ – Vintage Climbing Charm
Rose ‘Leontine Gervais’ is a classic rambler rose admired for its romantic clusters of salmon-apricot blooms flushed with soft pink and hints of yellow. The semi-double flowers appear in large, cascading trusses that create a breathtaking early summer display. Each bloom carries a light, pleasant fragrance that enhances its nostalgic appeal. The vigorous growth produces long, flexible canes ideal for covering pergolas, arches, fences, or old trees.
How to Plant Rose ‘Leontine Gervais’?
Select a sunny or lightly shaded location with fertile, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Provide a strong support structure, as this rambler develops long shoots that require guidance. Plant with the graft union slightly below soil level and allow at least 150–200 cm of space for proper development. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch annually to retain moisture. Light pruning after flowering helps maintain shape and encourages healthy growth.
