Product Description - Rose Mariatheresia
The Rose 'Mariatheresia' (Rosa 'Mariatheresia', also known as Rosa 'AUSmother') is a charming English shrub rose introduced by David Austin in 2004, celebrated for its exquisite, deeply cupped blooms in a delicate, pure pink that fades gently to softer blush at the edges. The large, fully double flowers, with 70–100 delicately layered petals, form perfect rosettes and carry an intense, classic old-rose fragrance with hints of myrrh and almond blossom. This rose blooms generously in repeated flushes from early summer until late autumn, creating a dreamy, nostalgic display.
The plant forms a rounded, bushy shrub growing to a height of 100–120 cm (3.3–4 feet) and a similar width, with graceful, slightly arching canes. Its healthy, medium-green foliage shows excellent disease resistance. 'Mariatheresia' is ideal for mixed borders, rose gardens, or as a fragrant low hedge, and its long stems make it a superb cut flower. Thrives in full sun to light shade and well-drained, fertile soil. Hardy in USDA zones 5–9.
