Product Description - Rose Minerva
The Rose 'Minerva' (Rosa 'Minerva', also known as Rosa 'KORvonius') is a captivating floribunda rose introduced by Kordes Roses in 2004, renowned for its large, fully double blooms in a deep, velvety purple-mauve that holds its rare color remarkably well in both sun and shade. The nostalgic, rosette-shaped flowers, with 50–70 densely packed petals and an intense, classic damask fragrance with hints of spice and myrrh, open generously in clusters from early summer until late autumn, creating a luxurious and long-lasting display. This award-winning variety is perfect for beds, borders, low hedges, or as dramatic cut flowers that bring mysterious elegance indoors.
The plant grows to a height of 80–110 cm (31–43 inches) with a bushy, upright habit and a spread of 60–80 cm. Its glossy, dark green foliage offers excellent disease resistance, particularly against black spot and powdery mildew, complementing the unique cool-toned flowers, which measure 8–10 cm in diameter. 'Minerva' thrives in full sun to light shade and well-drained, fertile soil, requiring minimal care while attracting pollinators. Hardy in USDA zones 5–9, it is ideal for temperate gardens and delivers continuous waves of rich, fragrant purple beauty.
