Product Description - Rose Royal William
Rose ‘Royal William’ is a classic hybrid tea rose with dramatic, velvety dark-red blooms and a strongly expressed sweet-spicy fragrance. The large, densely double flowers are beautifully formed with a high centre and keep their rich colour well, even in hot sun. Blooming comes in repeat waves from early summer well into autumn, making this variety a reliable choice for long-season colour. With its long, strong stems, it is also highly valued as a cut flower for elegant bouquets.
The plant grows to about 75–120 cm (30–47 inches) in height and forms a vigorous, upright, branching bush with healthy, dark-green foliage. Its generous flowers reach around 10–15 cm in diameter and are typically borne singly (sometimes in small clusters), creating a refined, exhibition-style look on the bush. ‘Royal William’ flowers from June to October in repeat waves and is noted for high resistance to powdery mildew and black spot, while winter protection is recommended because frost hardiness is described as limited to about −15 °C. Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil, water during dry spells, feed through the season, and deadhead regularly to support continuous flowering.
