Product Description - Rose Sympathy
Rose ‘Sympathy’ is a vigorous climbing rose (a second-generation Kordesii hybrid) admired for its rich, velvety red flowers and strong, romantic garden presence. The large, double blooms appear repeatedly through the season and look spectacular when trained over arches, pergolas, fences, or sunny walls. Its deep crimson colour creates a classic “red rose” effect and pairs beautifully with light-coloured climbers or pale perennials at the base. This variety is a great choice when you want fast coverage and a dramatic vertical accent with repeat flowering.
The plant grows to a height of about 200–350 cm (79–138 inches) and develops a powerful, wide climber that can reach around 200 cm in spread, so it needs a sturdy support and enough space. The flowers are generously sized (5-10 cm in diameter) and make an impressive display during the main flowering wave, with continued blooming later in the season. For best results, plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil, water during dry periods, and feed during the growing season to support strong repeat flowering. Tie in new long shoots horizontally where possible to encourage more flowering laterals, and prune in late winter/early spring to remove weak or old growth and keep the plant productive.

To guarantee the best result and quality of our plants and bulbs, we dispatch all our orders at the right planting period. We monitor harvests in The Netherlands and weather conditions across Europe and start shipping our orders according to the following schedule:

- Spring Flowering Bulbs (tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, etc.) - from 20 September until 1 December.
- Seeds and Garden Tools – all year round
- Roses, Perennials (except peonies), Bushes and other plants in pots - from 1 March until 1 June.
