About Rose ‘Wollerton Old Hall’ – Roots and Flowers
Rose ‘Wollerton Old Hall’ is one of the most fragrant English climbing roses, bred by David Austin. Its large, cupped blooms open in rich apricot tones that fade beautifully to cream, adding a romantic and elegant touch to any garden. The rose is highly regarded for its exceptionally strong, warm myrrh fragrance with citrus and herbal notes. Its nearly thornless, upright stems make it a favorite for arches, walls, or pergolas.
How to Plant Rose ‘Wollerton Old Hall’?
Plant in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Provide strong support for its climbing habit, allowing it to reach up to 3.7–4 meters in height. Water regularly in the first year, mulch well, and apply rose fertilizer in spring and mid-summer. Prune lightly after each flush to encourage repeat blooming and maintain shape.
