About ‘Auckland’ – Bulbs and Flowers
Calla Lily ‘Auckland’ is a stunning variety known for its rich, velvety red blooms with a deep, elegant hue. The graceful, trumpet-shaped flowers rise above lush, dark green, lance-shaped foliage, adding a sophisticated touch to gardens, borders, and containers. With its striking color and long-lasting blooms, ‘Auckland’ is a favorite for floral arrangements and makes a bold statement both indoors and outdoors.
How to Plant ‘Auckland’?
For best results, plant the rhizomes in well-draining, fertile soil about 5–7 cm deep. Choose a sunny to partially shaded location and water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Ideal temperatures range from 18–25°C for optimal growth. Regular feeding with a balanced fertilizer will enhance blooming. After flowering, allow the foliage to wither naturally before lifting and storing bulbs in cooler climates for overwintering.
