Product Description - Zantedeschia (Calla) Captain Ventura
A classic variety with a white flower veil adorned with textured monochrome veins, producing 3-9 sturdy, tall flower stalks on a single bush. A great option for home cultivation in tall pots. The plant looks very delicate in cuttings, the flower stems will last up to 20 days in a vase. In recent years it has been used in bridal bouquets, emphasizing the dazzling snow-white of the bride's whole outfit.

Planted in a pot or in the open ground in spring, in April-May, to a depth of 6-10 cm. Once the seedling has emerged above the soil surface, it needs bright light and moderate watering.When the flower stalks are formed, especially if there are many of them, weekly fertilization with a complex fertilizer should be performed. This will increase the size of the buds, ensure optimum height, save the bulb for future blossoms, and form daughter bulbs.
The flowering will last for a month and then the plant will slowly go into a dormant state. Watering will be reduced and nutrients will be removed. Over-winter the bulbs at low temperatures until the following spring.

Guide and tips for planting Calla Lily Bulbs (Zantedeschia)

Choose the planting location: Calla Lilies prefer partial shade to full sun and well-drained soil. Avoid planting in areas with standing water or where the soil remains soggy after rainfall.

Prepare the soil: Loosen the soil and remove any weeds or debris from the planting area. Amend the soil with compost or organic matter to improve the soil's fertility and drainage.

Plant the bulbs: Dig a hole that is about 8-12 cm deep and place the Calla Lily bulb with the pointed end facing up. Space the bulbs about 24-42 cm apart.
